Water colors and Indian ink (in hindsight, not the smartest decision) I do not recommend anyone mixing this two medias together. If you don't want the black to maybe bleed into the watercolor and you have a better option TAKE IT.

Yeah they really are 
I wish I had an affinity for watercolors but I just can't control them very well and when I make a mistake it's hard to salvage it. But as I said earlier I think this piece turned out very well and I think you gave him a nice and fun background to stand against. Macaws are such beautiful and fun birds
